Ethics & Human Factor

Ab.Acus’ vocation includes the role as bridge-builder among STEMM (“Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine”) and SSH (“Social Sciences and Humanities”) disciplines. The advent of new technologies should be driven by a responsible ICT Research and Innovation process, which puts humans at the centre.

The experience acquired in a lot of projects and qualitative research studies and all the methodological knowledge gained at the edge of several disciplines, allow Ab.Acus to accompany understanding and matching of end users’ needs, feelings, and attitudes to ongoing technological evolution. This experience provides Ab.Acus people with relevant know-how of qualitative data collection techniques such as focus groups, surveys, interviews and awareness raising tools such as mini‐publics.

Ab.Acus’ staff comprises a variety of expertise, from electronic or biomedical engineering to educational science, from communication science to gender studies, able to assure comprehension, collaboration and application of SSH research-based knowledge about ethical and societal issues relating to the Digital Transformation in place.
